Every calorie and macro comes from the USDA FoodData Central database. The AI only identifies which foods are on your plate and their portion sizes — it never invents the numbers. That is the core difference between SafeFuel and other AI calorie apps.
Yes. Allergies, intolerances and sensitivities are all triggers in SafeFuel. Pick from the standard list or add your own with the Other button, then set how severely you react to each. Every meal, product and recipe is checked against the whole list.
You set your triggers and a severity for each, from mild to anaphylaxis. Anything containing a trigger is flagged. The check is deliberately cautious — it would rather flag something than miss it.
It is still not a substitute for reading the label. Product recipes change and food databases lag behind.
Tap an ingredient in the result to correct its portion — the macros recalculate from the database values. If a food is matched to the wrong item entirely, send us the meal description from Profile → Send feedback and we'll look into it.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple. To change or cancel, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. To restore a purchase on a new phone, open the plan screen and tap Restore purchases.
In the app: Profile → Delete account. It's immediate and permanent — your profile, triggers, meals, symptoms and plans are removed. If you can't get into the app, email us from your account address and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Open the iPhone Health app → your profile picture → Apps → SafeFuel, and check that workouts, active energy and dietary energy are switched on. Then tap Connect again under Profile → Health.
Say "Log a meal in SafeFuel." If Siri doesn't recognise it, open the Shortcuts app, find SafeFuel, and run the shortcut once — iOS then learns the phrase.
