For allergies, intolerances & sensitivities

Train hard.
Eat safe.

Calorie apps ignore what you can't eat. Allergy apps ignore your macros. SafeFuel does both — and never makes up a number.

How it works

Log it any way you like. Get a verdict and the macros — together.

Snap it

Photo, barcode, nutrition label, or just tell Siri. The AI identifies the food; the USDA database supplies the numbers.

Never guess

Every meal, product and recipe checked against your own trigger list — with a severity for each, from "upsets my stomach" to anaphylaxis.

Plan your week

A week of meals that fit your macros and avoid your triggers. The grocery list writes itself. Cook mode has timers you can name.

Find the pattern

Log good days as well as reactions. When an ingredient keeps showing up before a symptom, SafeFuel surfaces it — and exports a clean history for your doctor.

Why it's different

The AI identifies your food. It never invents a number.

Most AI calorie apps ask a language model to guess the calories in a photo. That's fine for a rough estimate — and useless if you actually need the numbers to be right.

SafeFuel uses AI for exactly one thing: recognising what's on the plate and how much. Every calorie and gram of protein, carbs and fat then comes from USDA FoodData Central, the same database dietitians use. If something important is missing, it asks you instead of making it up.

"Hitting your protein without triggering a reaction is a real problem. Most supplements are whey. Most bars have nuts. SafeFuel works out what fits your macros and your triggers — so you can stop eating the same five safe meals."

Questions

The short answers

Does it work for intolerances and sensitivities, not just allergies?

Yes. Allergies, intolerances and sensitivities are all "triggers" in SafeFuel, each with its own severity. Lactose, gluten, FODMAPs, histamine, nightshades, sulfites and anything you add yourself are all treated the same way as a peanut allergy — checked on every meal.

Can it guarantee a food is safe?

No, and nothing can. SafeFuel is deliberately cautious — it would rather flag something than miss it — but product recipes change and databases lag behind. Always read the physical label, and carry your epinephrine if you've been prescribed it.

Where do the nutrition numbers come from?

USDA FoodData Central. The AI only identifies the food and portion; it never generates a calorie or macro figure itself. You can tap any ingredient to correct the portion and the numbers recalculate from the database.

Does it connect to Apple Health?

Optionally. SafeFuel can read your workouts and active energy to raise your targets on training days, and write logged calories back so everything stays in sync. Declining permission doesn't block any feature.

How do I cancel, or delete my account?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Your account and all its data can be deleted inside the app from Profile → Delete account, instantly. See Support for details.

SafeFuel helps you make informed choices. It is not a medical device and cannot guarantee a food is safe. Always read physical labels, and if you are having a severe reaction use your epinephrine and call emergency services.
